If you’ve lost teeth due to decay, injury, or periodontal (gum) disease, dentures can be an effective solution. At our tooth replacement dentist in Waxhaw NC, both partial and full dentures help restore the appearance of your smile while supporting proper oral function and overall health.
Options for Affordable Denture Solutions in Waxhaw, NC:
- Full Dentures: If you lost all your natural teeth from periodontal disease, tooth decay or injury, complete dentures can replace your smile and allow you to chew and enjoy your food better.
- Removable Partial Dentures: Used for people who have lost several teeth, these dentures fit snugly between your natural teeth to give your mouth a full and beautiful smile and restore chewing ability.
- Implant Supported Dentures and Partials: Implant Supported Dentures are a great option for securing your dentures permanently or removable to restore your dental health, smile and chewing ability.
The process of getting dentures typically involves several visits to our Waxhaw, NC office over a few weeks. Precise impressions and measurements are taken to create a custom-fit appliance, with multiple try-in appointments to ensure proper shape, color, and comfort. At the final visit, the denture is carefully adjusted and placed for a natural fit. Some patients may also explore dental implants in Waxhaw NC as an alternative or enhancement to traditional dentures for added stability. Proper cleaning, good oral hygiene, and routine dental visits help extend the life of your dentures.
Implant-Retained Dentures
Similar to traditional dentures, implant-retained dentures have a gum-colored acrylic base that holds natural-looking artificial teeth. Usually, these are made from materials that mimic the look of natural enamel, such as porcelain, ceramic, or resin. The primary difference between implant-retained dentures and traditional ones is the more natural look and optimal stability that allows patients to function naturally. During your procedure in our Waxhaw, NC office, four to eight dental implants will be surgically placed below your gumline to ground the replacement teeth in place. This provides your implant with a strong, durable, and stable foundation that doesn’t rely on natural suction or denture adhesive, which isn’t always effective.

"My sister had a filling come out of her tooth and we called Waxsaw Dental and they got her in the next morning. Since the Doctor she had gone to for years had retired, she was scheduled with Dr Marshall Earnest and his assistant Jenna. They were both very kind and professional. They explained all of the options clearly and were able to fix the tooth the same day. Since I wasn't the one being worked on, I was able to watch the procedure. They worked together seamlessly with such skill and calmness. It was very impressive and I would certainly recommend them."

"I was bumped due to a Hygienist calling in sick. I waited 4 weeks for call back to reschedule.. Never heard back, so I had to call and make my own short notice cleaning appointment. I received new a hygienist and new DDS. The cleaning was a little rough but it was thorough. Customer service for client retention needs work."
