Dental Implants at Waxhaw Dental Center

 In Dental Information

Dental implants are surgical-grade root devices that support permanent tooth replacement or removable dentures. Manufactured to last a lifetime, artificial roots are anchored in the bone under the gums, where they become fused into the jaw. Traditional crowns are placed on top of the implant and deliver natural looking results. In addition,  a denture can be made to snap into implants making it significantly more stable than a traditional denture.  Implants are completely scalable; they can be used to replace one tooth, or an entire smile.

Dental implants are well-suited for those who have missing, broken or decayed teeth and are in relatively good overall health. A CT scan is the most accurate three dimensional image, which allows for the most precise placement of the implant.  Waxhaw Dental Center is one of the few general dentist offices that has a CT scan on site.
